PSP games were built for a small LCD. PPSSPP can render at 1080p, 1440p, or higher, then sharpen textures and apply post-process shaders if you want extra color or contrast.

Input

Use the controls you have

Keyboard, on-screen overlay, or a Bluetooth gamepad. Switch Vulkan and OpenGL based on what runs best. The same project targets phones, desktops, and select VR headsets.

PPSSPP touch controls on iPhone

Save and resume anywhere

Create instant save states mid-session. Import saves from a real PSP memory stick and continue on desktop or mobile.

No firmware dump required

Install the emulator and load your dumps. Unlike some consoles, PPSSPP does not ask you to extract system software first.
